Libby + Josh | Cypress Hotel | Cupertino | Wedding

Libby and Josh's wedding was full of emotion and excitement from the get go.  I'll never forget their Hora dance during the reception.  Imagine a hundred people in 3 different circles dancing around you at breakneck speed.  Both Ingrid and I jumped into the middle of all that and barely survived!  It was definitely the highlight of the night for us.

Helen + Kevin | Nicholson Ranch Winery | Sonoma | Wedding

Claritin is a lifesaver.  For some reason the pollen that day decided to come out en masse and attack all of us.  I was having a hard time holding the camera still from all the sneezing I was doing and the watery eyes.  One of the groomsmen was flat out tearing the whole day, probably helped him look like a sensitive guy to all the ladies.  Then the mosquitoes came out at night and descended upon the wedding.  Good thing that Helen and Kevin are such troopers, because they didn't let any of that prevent them from having a good time with their guests.  Helen even wrote about all the fun mishaps on her facebook page.  I love brides that can look at the brighter side of things.

Samantha + Andrew | Monterey Bay Aquarium | Engagement

Another fun session by Aubrey and Blake.  The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of those places where shooting inside is pretty challenging.  You've got the dim lighting and crowds of people.  They almost make it look easy!

alice + steve | boston | engagement

We've been so swamped with work as the busy summer wedding season kicks into full swing. That means our blog is feeling a little neglected right now. But we've got some fun shoots lined up for you all.

Steve and Alice were gracious enough to host us at their place in Boston for their engagement shoot. We got an up and close personal view into their lives. Steve is doing his residences as a doctor while Alice gets to play scientist all day at work. I think they enjoyed their time off from their intense work life to go out and play with us.

Kristi + Anthony | Pulgas Water Temple | Redwood City | Wedding

Here's a wedding that Aubrey and Blake shot recently at the Pulgas Water Temple. Kristi and Anthony had a very small intimate wedding with a handful of their friends and family. I think the whole thing lasted no longer than two hours! So glad that Aubrey and Blake got to share in their day and capture these great photos. Who knew water temples could look so cool.

meagan + sperry | downtown oakland | engagement

Lately, I've been going on an urban photo safari kick.  Meagan and Sperry were up for anything and anywhere for their session, which is my favorite type of shoot.  We basically drove down the street and stopped by all the cool and interesting spots my eye could catch.  I love doing this, because they all the spots are unique and full of cool textures.

It was a fun engagement session with them, but I think Lulu stole the show.  I can rant on all day about why I like dogs and pets in photos, but I think it's best to let the pics do that for me.  Lulu was a star!

Sperry's attempt at a yoga pose.  He held it for a half a split second.
