Kelun + Rob | Church of the Wayfarer | Monterey Museum of Art | Carmel | Monterey | Wedding
Some weddings you just walk away from really appreciating your family. When you're there and witness the gratefulness and love that is shown towards family, you can't help but think about your own. That's how I felt at Rob and Kelun's wedding.
Their wedding in Carmel was just as beautiful and meaningful as their love towards their family. Our favorite part was the band that they had, Huckleberry Flint. Oh and we love shooting in art museums. Something about the environment that I really like that I can't quite put my finger on. hmmmm.
leslie + khahn | berkeley marina | uc berkeley | cafe strada | engagement
Leslie and Khanh are great friends of ours and we were so bummed when Ingrid and I were booked for their wedding shoot this summer. So they commissioned Aubrey and Blake (the coolest associate photographers on the planet ever) to shoot their wedding and engagement session.
Aubrey and Blake did such an amazing job that I'm a bit jealous I didn't take these. I couldn't help but look at the whole session and feel like a friend that was totally not invited to the party. I'm so glad that Leslie and Khanh got such amazing pictures though, because it couldn't have happened for a more genuine and loving couple.
These are so close to film quality that I almost had to ask Aubrey if she went back to film for this shoot. The colors, lighting and feel of these images are so retro and timeless. Ok, I need to stop or else I'll blow their heads up too big and they'll fly away, literally. Can't wait to see the wedding pics and live vicariously through their lens!
Normally jumping pictures never make it on our blog. They're so cliche, but this one is actually...cool.
The next two pictures are just too good. Is it possible to love and hate my associate photographers at the same time?
I heard that Aubrey accosted a student on campus for these balloons. She's been trained well.
renee + kiley | san francisco | engagement
The summer wedding season has officially begun and that means that we'll have a wedding shoot every saturday till Oct! We've also got a ton of engagement shoots to post as well, so we'll be trying to keep up with blogging as much as we can.
While shooting with Renee and Kiley we ran into another photographer duo shooting out near the Golden Gate bridge. Except that they were doing a nude model shoot and wanted to use our spot for their shoot. Only in SF!
jennie + john | monterey | hilton | wedding
When we first arrived at to shoot Jennie's getting ready at the hotel I noticed her great big smile. I was thinking to myself, man I hope she smiles a lot today and has fun! The stress and nervousness of the day sometimes prevents brides from enjoying the day and laughing a lot, but it was the complete opposite for Jennie. She went through the whole gamut of emotions and it was a joy to capture all that goodness oozing from her. They had such a fun wedding reception too and it was a good thing, because we setup our kick ass photo booth and let it rip! Some highlights below!
bodrey + kenny | san francisco | engagement shoot
We laughed and played together in the Mission and SOMA. Bodrey's sister, Audrey, came along and provided moral support for some fun times! Some highlights from a very fun session with Bodrey and Kenny. Can't wait to shoot their wedding in June!
sandy + john | golden gate park | post-wedding shoot
Just a couple of teasers from Sandy and John's post-wedding shoot. It was a sunny and windy day, perfect weather for a fun day of shooting. We can't get enough of you guys!
whooohooo!
Jerry's coming back today. Lets raise our tiny arms in celebration!
