DIY elements?
The guestbook was a home made rolodex by one of my bridesmaids. We purchased parasols and pashminas whole sale from the fashion district in downtown LA to give out as favors.
Where did you splurge and where did you save?
We splurged with the venue and photography because we knew as long as we had a beautiful place and photographers who could capture the memories for us beautifully, that's probably all we really needed... Aside from each other and the officiant that is :)
We saved with the flowers and the wedding dress. I rented the dress from Wedding Time. We didn't have real floral arrangements- we just got bouquets from a local florist purchased the orchid center pieces from Orchid 2 Orchid for $25 each!
Caterer: Huntington Catering, Pasadena CA. Very professional, willing to negotiate, our guests raved about the food. We got our rentals from them too, they matched the lowest prices we could find elsewhere.
