 jesse took me immediately to his office the moment we met on the stanford campus.  i'm easily impressed by big scientific words and scientific facts.  so when jesse showed me his lab with all the laser equipment and wires hanging around i was playing it cool like i've been in many of these situations.  but inside i was just dying to see him turn on the lasers and tell me that he's going to cut through titanium or something.  he didn't cut through anything, but he did show me some nitrogen oxide.
