Oakland Railroad & Port | Engagement Shoot | Erin + Josh

Photography by Jerry

I love this engagement shoot for so many reasons.  The first one being that we almost got a huge fine or arrested for trespassing on the Southern Pacific Railroad property.  Luckily, we got out of it by being really nice, but I'm sure he'll give me a fat ticket the next time I roll around.  It was worth it though.  This shoot reminded me at the end of the year why I love photography.  Picture #6 has got to be one of my all time favorites.

Love the new design. Very sleek! I do miss the pic of the grapes with the rings on them though. Also, you must divulge how you achieve that great variation in focus on so many of your images. There is one in this group where the couple is in focus but the sides are not. Last group (the city hall wedding) there was one of the couple seated and their faces were in focus, but their shoes and legs were not. Is this a filter, a post-processing trick?

It's actually a tilt shift lens JEs. The Canon 45mm tilt shift to be exact. It produces nice images with that buttery out of focus look to different parts of the frame. I try not to use it too much, since it can be overused.
